A friend referred us to Michael to manage the sale of the house that generations of our family had called home for the past 40 years. Needless to say, we all had a strong emotional attachment to this beautiful 100+ year old Victorian manse in Brighton. I mention this because Michael recognized that the transition was difficult for us and responded not by pressuring or rushing us, but by giving us information and suggestions that he felt would be most helpful in preparing for the sale. We really appreciated this kind and sensible approach.
Michael also possesses a "super power" worth noting. Whenever I asked if he could recommend someone for a house related job - carpenter, tree guy, window cleaner, junkman to name a few - he had a name and phone number ready in mere minutes. I actually contacted each of these; without exception every one did a great job at a reasonable price. And for an added bonus, they were nice people!
In short, from our first contact with Michael we found him to be a professional; friendly and courteous, responsive and punctual, as well as knowledgeable about his field, This held true throughout the year - in our case the process did take a year because we chose to move slowly. Ultimately the house was put on the market in July and sold in August for close to our asking price. If you are looking for a realtor, I highly recommend Michael Rothstein.
