Martha's Backstory:

Martha lived on Boston's Beacon HIll and West End for almost 10 years before moving to Brookline twenty five years ago with her husband to start and raise their active family of three children. She has a genuine love and intimate knowledge of what makes Brookline such a desirable town to call home.

Martha has been enthralled by design, architecture and real estate practically her entire life. Growing up in Canada, her family built many homes often enriching design with salvaged architectural elements. After attending Queen's University, Martha moved to Boston for a year of adventure when she quickly fell in love with New England and settled in for the long-term.

After several years in advertising, marketing and new product development in financial services, Martha pursued her desire for entrepreneurship creating and marketing award winning products, tech development and services in the lifestyle market.

After renovating her own home, Martha identified an industry niche to support homeowners with no experience, time or desire to manage their own renovation and created Room for Change, a service providing home renovation coaching and project management.

Martha's keen ear listening to clients needs and her attention to detail helped identify solutions to home challenges. Martha's love of working closely with clients creating desirable home spaces was a solid and natural foundation to pursue an exciting career in residential real estate.

Community Involvement

• Martha has served on many school, town and business committees raising awareness for initiatives, coordinating events and fundraising
• Co-chair of the Brookline Village Emerson Garden Neighborhood Association
• Former executive board member for the Brookline Chamber of Commerce
• Was active in PTO efforts at Pierce Elementary and Brookline High School and with three very athletic children Martha was active in local and travel sports
• Spring 2020 Martha spearheaded BrooklineStrong.org to honor essential workers and social justice advocacy through the performing arts and raised funds for The Brookline Foundation supporting local families struggling due to the pandemic.
• Active in her local church community

Personal Activities

• Hosting intimate and large scale gatherings - seriously lacking since COVID-19!
• Encouraging community connection via co-chairing her neighborhood association
• Creating cards, poems, and home design
• Training her family's new Australian Labradoodle puppy, Phoebe
• Moon and star gazing
• Pickleball (a newbie!)
