“We first contacted Martha when we thought our daughter might end up buying a home in Brookline. As it turned out, we began to think about moving ourselves, from Providence, Rhode Island to the Boston area. We are getting, ahem, a bit older, and wanted one floor living, fewer homeowner responsibilities and to be nearer to family. We were embarking on what Martha enthusiastically described as “our next chapter.” We started out with a vague idea of what we wanted in a home and were comfortable with the idea that the search might take a bit of time. It did not! Martha started out by asking us a lot of questions about how we lived, what was important to us, and so on. She took our responses seriously, and searched out a variety of condominiums in and around Boston that fit our stated preferences. She never tried to steer us in one particular direction but picked up on, correctly, our reactions to everything we saw.
